According to SoCal Water Smart, effective September 21, 2009 through May 31, 2010 there will be region-wide rebates available for two types of water-efficient purchases for your home:
- High-Efficiency Devices— high-efficiency clothes washers and high-efficiency toilets. Recently, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) allocated $35.2 million in federal funds for California to administer its own energy-efficient Cash for Appliances Program. This program which will last from April 22, 2010 through May 23, 2010 is intended to save energy and water by replacing inefficient appliances with more energy-efficient models.
- Landscape—weather-based irrigation controllers, rotating nozzles (with matching pressure regulating device), and synthetic turf. Water conservation efforts will be rewarded if home owners decide to install artificial turf in their front and/or backyards. Please visit our product page to see our selection of affordable, high quality turf. Save water and get rewarded!
