The hotly-debated topic of artificial turf goes on and has even led FIFA’s President to step in and have his say.
According to Fifa.com, FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter is a supporter of artificial turf and believes that one day every country will convert to playing on synthetic surfaces. His sentiments have been endorsed by the German Sport University of Cologne, who reached the conclusion that “well maintained artificial turf has no measurable effect on the game.”
The results of the Cologne report have also been supported by other studies and observations. Germany coach Joachim Low recently stated that artificial turf would be “no excuse” for a poor performance and made his players train on an artificial pitch in Mainz in order to get used to the surface.
The endorsement FIFA’s President and subsequent positive report results backs up the growing trend of artificial turf sporting fields and proves that turf fields will be more and more accepted by officials in the industry.
In 2007, Taishan Sports has proudly gained the approval of FIFA’s organization and was the first company in China to receive a Licensing Certificate for its sports turf. This shows Taishan Sports commitment to providing the public with outstanding quality turf.
