Taishan Sports Industry Group has been in the Sports Equipment industry for three decades, and is currently the largest synthetic turf manufacturer in China. Our turf factory employs over 150 staff in three turf plants and utilizes the finest and most advanced manufacturing equipment.
Our US sales office is located in Burlingame, California near San Francisco and our warehouse and distribution center are sited in Southern California. Taishan Sports is the exclusive manufacturer for FreshGreen branded synthetic turf in China and USA and has been supplying synthetic turf to the US market since 2002.
How we got into the Synthetic Turf Business
As being the leading sports equipment manufacturer in China, Taishan participates in numerous government initiatives and pilot programs. One 
of the challenges that is faced in China is the heavy usage of sports fields that are being worn out rapidly and are difficult and expensive to maintain. This is unique to China due to its huge population of 1.2 billion people. Even the world’s best yarn producer, Ten Cate Thiolon, has not encountered this challenge before. Taishan has then embraced the challenge and decided to build the first and largest artificial turf factory in Asia. Taishan has been leading the industry in product development and quality ever since.
Where We Stand and Our Focus
The Chinese turf market is constituted of over a dozen artificial turf factories; each serving different segments and needs of the market. Our focus 
has always been to cater to the high performance sports field and high end landscaping turfs. Ten Cate Thiolon a respected industry leader was Taishan’s initial yarn supplier up until 2006 when we set up our own yarn extrusion plant. This move enabled us to cut down on lead time, reduce raw material cost, and provide a larger variety of turf products. A turf R&D center in Shanghai with a leading Science and Technology University was also established to help us remain on the front line in innovation.
Our goal is ultimately to become the world’s leading supplier of synthetic turf by continually supporting businesses to conserve water, reduce costs and help them to better utilize their sports or landscaping surfaces.
